Forgot about those, there was so much stuff reduced I took pics of the price labels to help me remember.

Found Hessayon's 'The Complete Garden Expert Book' online for £1.50 (free collection instore) that might (never looked at one) be of interest to beginners, RRP £11.99 and £5.86 at Amazon £3.50 at Asda.com, only 2 copies left http://www.wilko.com/the-complete-garden-expert-book/invt/0337348?VBMST=hessayon

Pea/bean netting 75% off and strawberry netting 75% off.

5 Packs of half seed trays 20p/pack. I'm a really big fan of these and never fill/sow a whole seed tray even if it's sown with the all the same type of seed, but always use half trays as inserts so I can prick out half a tray at a time and never have half empty trays as I keep consolidating them. Half trays are also far easier to fit in propagators and transfer to full size seed trays for easier handling when the seedlings have shown through. Only bought 10 packs, probably should of had a few more, although they normally last a few years before splitting.

The 3 for 2 is still working on the 75% off seeds!

Example, buy 3 packets of Ferrari dwarf french beans reduced from £1.30 to 32p/pkt, get another 32p off, so only 64p for 3, 21p/pkt instead of £3.90, £1.30/pkt, a cracking 84% off !

N.B. Do individual shops of identical cost packets as it's cheapest seeds free. For example if you bought 3 pkts @ £1.30 (reduced to 32p) and 3 packets @ 69p (reduced to 17p) in a single shop you would only get 34p (2x 17p) back, but if bought in 2 seperate transactions you'd get 48p pack (32 + 17p).

I got me one of these (last one on the shelf) on Monday, couldn't resist at the price!

We have 2 large stores here in Northampton and I often find in one something the other hasn't got at this time of the year.

Warning, I went into my nearest Wilko, put 30 packets of £1.60 seeds from the 75% off display in my basket, but when I got to the checkout only the 3 for 2 came off, but not the 75%. A supervisor came out with several nonsense excuses, and I explained why they were all incorrect, so went to another store.

Split your shops into all 60p seeds, all £1 seeds, all £1.30, etc. and make sure the total number of packets is divisible by 3. Many of them have 2016 & 2017 use by dates!

60p seeds with 3 for 2 and 75% off will work out at 10p each
              £1 will be 17p/pkt
              £1.30 will be 22p/pkt
              £1.60 will be 27p pkt

A £1 seeds shop and a £1.30 seeds shop, £45 worth of seeds for only £7.40:

Wilkos colourful kids metal wheelbarrows only £4.50

              wilko kids barrow.jpg

Always like to hear of other people also getting the bargains.

P.S. As on 1st receipt, spectacle cords now reduced from £1 to 50p. I find these essential when using a camera so I don't have to waste time putting my specs away every time I use the viewfinder,

Popped in to our store again yesterday following the above posts of further reductions and itsbeen wiped out!!!!:frown::snork:

Where once were pots and seed trays etc there was nothing but settling dust

Also noticed their clay pots were reduced to 25p, 50p and 75p depending on size but they were all gone too

All that was left really in ours were non-reduced items and a rack of 3 for 2 and 75% off seeds :)

                    Wilko Mega Glitch!

Loads of stuff scanning at 1p! Packs of pots (not single pots but 15 x 70mm square, 12 x 90mm square - got 24 packs of those - and 5 x 130mm dia. for only a penny), packs of pot saucers, seed trays, twine, hanging basket liners, pea/bean netting, holding down pegs, 3m cloches and even a mini greenhouse., all for 1p each.

They must have all disappeared of their pricing system and in the absence of a reduced price label will scan at 1p each and if you get the right person at the checkout who'll let them go through at that price you'll pick up a bargain. Only the crop and pond mesh wasn't 1p, although I thought that £1 would be actually would be the price and the pigeons are now having a go at our French beans and that mesh was over £2 last week.

Needed 2 trollies for our haul.

                    wilko 1pA.jpg

                    wilko 1pB.jpg

Emailed Wilko CS asking that they get that store to sort out their seed display correctly, and they're sending me a £5 Wilko giftcard, so don't feel too hard done by paying £5 for that netting, although I did feel a little miffed that the store I got all the 1p stuff from didn't have any 75% off seeds (+ 3 for price of 2) whatsoever, but I found some packets of Ferline tomato seeds in their reduced section for only 10p/pkt from £2.35 and some Sarah Raven/Johnsons Clary 'Blue Denim' seeds reduced from £3.05 to 10p/pkt.

Got back home and opened a 35p bottle of homemade wine to celebrate today's money saving.

P.S. That little greenhouse will be put inside a poly tunnel as I want to try using it with either with a tea light heater or over a mini hot bed to give some extra protection.

EDIT: I've heard of this happening in the past, and always hoped to be there if/when it happened

from 8 months, 3 weeks ago see post11 re Weymouth store http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/wilkinson-full-size-garden-fork-1-00-instore-1695354#post19513707

So these sort of fantastic reductions that you read about online really do happen, and if you're there at the time don't mess around putting a few items in your basket, think big and fill a couple of trollies.

I went to a big store and picked up some bargains, though the half seed trays and Stewarts trays had already gone. Got a pressure spray for £1, windowsill propagators for 80p and some cheap pots. Nothing as bargainlicious as Scrungee got though.

...I am sooo going in my local store tomorrow though...
