Ate my first Indigo Rose a couple of days ago. It was nice and 'tomatoey' and wasn't too sweet. Also harvesting Roma and Tomkin (all outdoors)....and buying a house.

Well done Trunky, mine are no where near that size or ripeness.

          Here's my big one!

Picked this Beefmaster this evening. Looks like it could be my best effort for this year. :)

          004.JPG

That's a full 1½lbs in old money. :hate-shocked: That beats my best from last year by some distance, and much earlier than in previous years too.

Bloomin' 'eck !! You might as well give him the Prize cup now and save us the embarrassment...
              It's a smasher Trunky - well done,
              Jenny

Too soon for that Jenny, there were some real monsters on here last year which topped 800g or more, made mine look puny in comparison. :)

I'm sure at this very moment they are lurking in the undergrowth in other GC members' greenhouses, pacing themselves and growing bigger by the day until their moment of glory arrives.

I may have peaked too soon.

This is my most promising one, a Black Krim grown from saved seed from my biggest last year. Nearly all the fruit are megablooms this year:

Picked another big Beefmaster this evening. To my surprise, it was slightly heavier than the one I picked last week. :)

Picked this one today. It actually beats yesterday's monster by a whole 2 grammes. :snork:
So this is now my leading contender.
