I'm getting a lot of dry sets on my toms, too many:frown:I'm damping down and misting the flowers occasionally but I'm guessing it's the temperatures , from scorching hot during the day to 14/15 tops through the night if they're lucky:dunno:

I agree with you Loli, the high temps are a problem this time of year, I understand that night time temps are a more significant factor contributing to fruit set.

The Chocolate Cherry was taller than me so I've stopped it as I wouldn't be able to reach the toms! That's a 3 ft / 1 yard rule alongside and I measured the plant - now 6ft 3"!!

It looks like you're having a Jack and the Beanstalk year Jenny, perhaps you should climb to the top and see if there's any goodies hidden away!

Mine are struggling too Loli. The fruit are the size of peas at the moment, I think they were definitely produced for Manx weather but they're not getting that this year.

                    Hiya Jenny.

I know mini plum tomatoes are available, but I doubt this is what you have there. The chances are though (imo) that these won't develop to their normal full size anyway, given their location. I suppose if it were me, I would make a judgement about whether or not it was hindering the other plants. If I thought it was, I'd have it out. If not, I'd leave it and enjoy the harvest:thumbsup:
                    I hope this helps.

                    Cheers...Freddy

EDIT : You could always leave it, but 'stop' it.

Is it night temperatures, or the differential between day and night? (Or is that what causes leaf-curl in the Spring )

                        Clearly old-age overtaking memory!!
