"Summer baskets bits and bobs " 2014

First time we've tried them @Spruce. One thing we've learned is that you have to be patient with them.

When the plugs arrived in the spring, they were quite weedy, spindly looking things.
After potting up, they didn't do much at first, apart from growing even more spindly.
When the time came to plant up the baskets we cut them back quite hard, leaving only 3 or 4 inches of plant, and hoped for the best.
As we hoped, they responded (eventually) by producing lots of new branching growth which is now covered in those beautiful bright blue flowers.

 

I will be getting some deffo for next year I will take some more photos of mine they are coming on a treat , how long do they trail ?

Don't know yet Spruce, this is the first time we've tried Anagallis of any kind, so still learning.

They've already put on several inches of new growth and show no signs of slowing down just yet.
