Do you mean the same name as in title, or the same name as in the 'domain', which is the www.domainname.co.uk bit?

No problem at all then, unless of course the title is a trade mark.

If you don't mind me asking, what you got in mind? My imagination raises 3 possible reasons for you asking, and of course none of them might be right.

    1. You want to launch a site with the same title as another
    2. Someone else has launched a site with the same title as another, which is a problem because it has misled you
    3. Kind of like 2 but a bit more thorough, a dodgy site has 'spoofed' a legitimate site and caused major problems

Yep, the BBC also have a Gardeners Corner if you do a search, but we don't mind as folk looking for that will see us above them :snork:

Okay all, my friend is involved in a 'closed' web site that has the same name/title as another site and I was checking to see if this was legal with Clueless via PM last evening, thanks Clueless. :) It is legal apparently and since then Pete my husband has discovered a number of others with the same name. If it hadn't been legal I would have informed my friend. :)
