My Minkie Marvels are starting to fruit :)

What a great thug of a plant it is :)

Not your soft southern pansy of a gardeners delight, this one just whines into the garden with the sound of a chainsaw and drags the fruit out backwards screaming :dbgrtmb::dbgrtmb::dbgrtmb:

Thanks Jenny..... there was a time when I didn't think they were going to truss up at all but they've come good. You must remember that the island has had the best of the British weather so far this year, sunshine and heat on tap since the beginning of April. Your toms will put on a spurt of growth like mine did I'm sure! :)

Zigs.....I love your description of 'MM'. :heehee: That's how mine were last year complete with leaf curl below....

Not the pathetic plants I've got this year!
I'd just like to add the picture taken here was in the greenhouse but they are best outside. We had some chilly nights last year so I was putting them to bed overnight. :)

Wow @wiseowl - that's spooky. I've just taken a piccie of mine to put in here and you've beaten me to it.
What a Goliath monster of a plant Indigo Rose is!! Mine's got 8 mini trusses on it and it's main stems thickening so much, I think you'll be able to perch in it overnight in a couple of weeks....;)

Loli, I had to think twice about your post too. Yes, you're right the toms have come on well thanks, such a late start though!

                      Zigs.....Loli was referring to post #570 :)

Woo and Jenny.....the Indigo Rose toms are looking good, I'll wait to find out your over all report on them later in the season and may give them a go next year. :)

I thought I'd pick up a couple of interesting looking tomatoes from a box at a [nameless to protect the guilty] farmers market. The box was 'priceless' cos they were so expensive...I proferred a fiver and was charged over £2 for each. And the Eastern European variety was rubbish....I didn't even eat it all and certainly didn't save any seed. In future I will shop in Harrods!
