I have the main plant growing in a huge Malaysian glazed pot with John inns no 3 and xtra grit added , when each flower is over you dont cut the stem you slowly pull it out of the soil until it breaks off this makes it produce more stems , it has a slow release fertilizer added and has a good soaking twice a week

I used to be as tough as old boots Spruce! It's what comes of being reared in a family full of males but age is softening me up a bit now.

I don't know whether you remember me saying in the past that I have one, it had been in a pot for years and never bloomed. I planted it out two years ago into my sandy soil which is doesn't really like but it looks healthy, still hasn't bloomed and hasn't grown either, it's only three feet high. I couldn't tell you what colour it's supposed to be either, that's long forgotten.

I prune mine like a apple tree to encourage flowering buds , they do take a while to settle in once out of the pot , I bet it will flower next year now
