    I have just bought my first proper green house it's a 6 x 10
And I intend on building it on a brick base of around 6 courses to give me more hight but fist I have to remove a old shed that's been there for around 40 years the people next door recon it's pretty much rotten way already

Congratulations, you will have years of enjoyment from it. Hurry up and build it so you can put stuff in over the winter!

Have you thought about the floor? Two schools of thought, solid or earth so you can plant into the border. I went solid and decided it was a mistake!

You've got a bit of clearing up to do! Save those wooden steps and put them on eBay if you don't want them - you'll be surprised what people are asking for them. The chicken wire could be useful too. And the bricks!

Good plan to keep one side as an earth border- make sure it's the sunniest side, though, it might not be the fence side. You could also prune away some privet where the trellis fence is to get more light in.

I will be saving the ladders yes and the wire is what I use for rapping the banana plants up over winter
But rest if it is off in skip got some new bricks
Yes I will trim the privet I might even take it out if the guys on other side want to help with some fencing as it's about 4 foot wide
So I got the footing in ready to start with the brick work in morning so should have that up tom ready to put the green house up Sunday

                        Hi

Looking good , my only worry is the steps as they may get slippy or carrying heavy compost plants, watering cans etc in and out , can you do a door so its flush to the ground .
I would imagine you may have to make up a new door way thinking about it as its a aluminum greenhouse ?

I have slipped in my greenhouse and nearly went through the panels on more than one occasion my own fault wearing flip flops :snork: luckily it was the tomatoes that saved me

ps beehives are made to exact sizes for the frames to fit in all based on bee width other wise they will make wild comb and getting out the honey would cause uproar with the bees .

                        Spruce

Good idea about slipping but the flags I got are a good ruff top and the front will be a lot less of a step as it will be decking when I build the extension on the house and remove the garage

The compost bin was not made as a hive mate just in the style of one it was always a compost bin but I was into bee hives
