Just returned to my new allotment plot today with wellies to have a closer look at the patch. There's seems to be more fruit than I realised here and some which I think is fruit.

    A few pictures I've taken.

Also saw this in a nearby church yard. Is this a walnut?

    1) It looks like Blackberry, but appears to be flowering on this year's growth, get in close and check whether it's got blackberry like thorns or thinner reddish spines.
    2) Gooseberry
    3) Sloe
    4) Walnut (absolutely none on our local trees this year)

Agree with Scrungee, my only other suggestion for No.1 might be a Loganberry

Hence the 'prickles' ID requirement. I have to take out loads of fake 'Loganberries' (AKA blackberries) amongst my loganberries that birds seed there.

I cleared around the plant today and can confirm by the label hanging from it that it is indeed a blackberry.

Mark your Rhubarb before the leaves die off, I've seen far too ma any new plot holders construct something on top of a productive rhubarb patch whilst it's dormant.

Found 3 of these today while cutting back the long grass. They look like they have been deliberately planted. Any ideas?

Looks like it could be a small (so no fruits yet) Sloe/Blackthorn. Is it thorny?

Took some pics of sloe/blackthorn twigs from the wild margins of my plot.

Upper side (that has reddish colouration of the stem)
