I have a centre path with U shaped borders around. Definitely would not have solid / paved and grow in containers. I have done that in the past but the watering is far more time consuming.

Not sure about your door though ... I would want to walk straight in without having to go up & over, particularly with an arm full of plants / pots / compost bags ... or a wheel barrow (but maybe that's not an option anyway with a single-door entrance to a greenhouse? )

If you change your mind, retrospectively, maybe a stable-door type? replace lower brick wall with a half-door, and cut the ali-frame base rail, or incorporate it into the top of the bottom door in some crafty way - I expect it has a guide rail for the bottom runner-wheel on the sliding door.

The extra height of the brick walls will give you some fantastic opportunities for growing taller / more unusual things :)

Hey Kirsten thanks for the idea of not having the steps but the front of the green house will eventually have some decking to it so it might just be one step up and the door needs the base rail to run on do can not cut it off
I want one side of the green house as a bench to pot plants on and grow seedlings for my allotment on so I will be having a bed down one side
After work today I got most of the flags down to create to base for the bench and foot path

Have you considered electrics in there Richard? You could put in a flexible conduit pipe with a string, so you can pull through a cable in the future. Having a heated propagator and cooling/heating fan are useful.

It's looking great Richard. The amount of daily progress makes it a pleasure to watch. I'm looking forward to seeing the moggy curled up and fast asleep in it,
