    similar to above two - taken last night - by very imperfect means - manually holding the body of a system camera (without lens) against the viewfinder barrel of a telescope - I must get a proper adapter

      nice crater detail as it just starts to wane - hopefully I can achieve same when I get a proper t-mount for my camera

        Thanks Armandii. :) I'm pleased with the result considering I took it holding the camera. One day....... I say one day, I might just invest in a tripod! :doh:

            The moon is bright enough at the moment to be able to do gardening by it.

              Great shots everyone ,I take my photos hand held with a 300mm lens and the way my talons shake its a wonder anything comes out:heehee:I have a tripod but have never used it.just can't get in to the habit of using it:smile:

                        Good evening Marley I have my camera on a tripod,on a bulb setting at F4,ISO at 400,manual focus is set on infinity.with a cable release and I will take different exposure times of varying distances starting with 15 seconds upwards and see what I end up with:phew::smile:
