A few weeks ago someone suggested a very reliable and good perfumed Sweet Pea . It was a pale lilac colour with a distinctive double barrelled name , like Betty-Boop , which would be impossible to forget , thought I ! Well I have forgotten it - any ideas anyone ?

    TIA

I was on Cambridge market one morning chatting to a stall holder about plants and things and the subject got around to Sweet Peas and at that time many years ago Unwins were just a bike ride up the road in Histon from where I lived, so used to go on their open days to see what was new, anyway the stall holder introduced me to the old fellah that bred Charlies Angels and he went on to tell me he had named the sweet pea after his daughters, just a bit of history ! I still grow it never fails to perform. Today been busy in the garden erected two new bird boxes purchased from RSPB, and a bug box Oh I shall look forward to next year especially after reading about all the species of bees that breed and inhabit these, hopefully in my tiny garden
