Well my plant leaves only improved for a short period of time and then shrivelled up and died but the pumpkin seemed to keep growing. I don't think it developed properly though as you can see its a bit odd shaped haha. We cut it off today as the plant seemed to have dried up. My son says its like a giant orange plum :dunno: .

Thanks lolimac but I'm by no means a proper grower only second time I have grown them and only had a allotment 2 years I'm just a noob

Well I think we have a new UK record pumpkin, sadly I'm not the one growing it..lol

The record is currently 1520lb and the Patton Twins currently have a 1484lb pumpkin growing that gained 120lbs a week!

Here is the last report of its weight from 6 days ago. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=225748 The photo here is of the stem of one fruit they removed...its a 72 day old tree!

And here is the last published photo of it from 2 weeks ago ago.

              http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=224976

I cannot see how it could not break the record now!

              Steve...:)

This cold weather has stopped mine from growing, it's still the same size as two weeks ago. It's 90" for the three measures for the OTT method, that's not even on the chart, so maybe it's around 20 lbs. I can't see my plant recovering now the leaves are starting to get brown edges as though it's had enough.

I did some OTT measurements this morning and so far I have 3 'kins, 64lb, 44lb and 38lb, and a few smaller ones too.

                          Steve...:)
