      Aloha everyone,

Zigs and Woo, I don't think you're doing a good job of selling 8.1 to me! :heehee: By the sound of it you should be wiping the drive and putting 7 on it. :)

It's rather breezy and overcast but I got the lawns mowed yesterday, so not too bothered :blue thumb:

We're prepping the entries for the next horticultural show (well, Mrs Shiney is ) and started getting plants together. Someone else will have a chance to win the 'marrow' section as the rabbits ate all our plants . Runner beans have been picked and sorted (will still pick some more tomorrow in case there are some winners) and they're wrapped in a slightly damp tea cloth and in the fridge. This helps to straighten them out and keep them fresh.

I don't know whether there's any flower arranging in this show but, if there is, Mrs S will enter. Some of the things she's prepping

Keep well everyone and have a great day

      Aloha!

Good morning Shiney I did think about doing just that, but then my warranty would be null and void, but Windows 9 will be out very soon so I shall wait and see;)

          Good morning everyone,

Shiney..Thank you very much for the info:thumbsup:...Good luck with the show:dbgrtmb:

Woo......wouldn't surprise me if you haven't got them back on and grouted already:love30:if you're at a loose end I've got plenty of jobs for you to do:biggrin:

Zigs...Don't mention Windows 8 to me:rolleyespink: only have to look at this thing wrong and all hell breaks loose:pcthwack: I'm sure you'll get to grips with it though:dbgrtmb:

Moyra..How did you get on at the opticians? hope it went OK:blue thumb: There wasn't a great selection of specs at mine but I wasn't too bothered as long as I can see...

The front of my Kitchen roof is polycarbonate and earlier there was such a crash bang wallop and when I looked up there was these long lanky legs hanging over the edge:rolleyespink:Mr Heron had tried to land but slid down the roof instead:doh:as usual too late with the camera:gaah:...he is a big clumsy oaf ,lovely bird though..

Did some pottering yesterday but need to get my finger out today and get rid of the sweet peas, they've all but finished and look tatty now, don't know why I'm still hanging on to them:rolleyespink:

Take it easy everyone, have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

Hi Woo, I don't quite understand that  Replacing the operating system is just a change of software so can't negate any warranty on the computer itself. :) It would, of course, negate anything to do with 8.1. itself. :blue thumb:

            Good Morning everyone,

Shiney, glad your foot is on the mend.

Zigs, I have a brand new lap top I do not use, bought when I thought this was up the creek and it turned out to be Virgins problem. So one £499 Laptop laying idle but I didn't like Windows 8 on it either. Am thinking of flogging it as I am sure I am unlikely to use it. I much prefer a desk top pc.

Lili, so sorry OH is not so good but glad your mouth is much better. Hope OH rallies to the new medication levels.

Loli. Isn't that just wonderful that your chook is well again, Mrs Shiney is magic! You never fail to amaze me about the amount of wild life you have there. I wish I lived in the countryside again. Like where I was born 2 miles from the nearest village. I rue the day I didn't know my mum was selling the bungalow in which I was born because at the same time I was buying a cottage elsewhere and would have loved to buy my natal home.

All went well at the opticians yesterday, neither Steve nor I needed new glasses. My right eye had change just 2.5 and my left eye unchanged. So good all round.

Horrible day outside, walked Amber on the green and the bitter wind it felt like winter not autumn or even the end of the summer. Glad I mowed the lawns yesterday! Have a good day all. God Bless! :wub2:

            Moyra...good news about your eyes:thumbsup:...
I did live in the 'country' about 20 years ago but you can hardly recognise it round here now,it's so built up it's more like a small town, completely surrounded with houses and busy roads everywhere you look:rolleyespink: so I'm very lucky to get anything in the garden.Once I walk in my back gate I pretend nothing else exists :)

              Hi everyone
Glad to hear you are all in fine fettle!
Woo could you do some online counselling, try and instil some or your relaxation and jobs theory into other husbands?
Most of the hubbies I know spend a week mentally limbering up to a job, then comes the can I get out of it stage, then that forlorn look when the realisation hits there's no escape! Lol!
Got a queue of girls here wanting that counselling! You could make a fortune!
Thanks for the heads up on windows 8!
Really antiquated Mac has just given up the ghost thinking of going back to a PC ...... Not sure now:scratch: Had 2 Aldi PCs previously, in the same length of time I have had the 2nd hand Mac. It's just the hassle of transferring files from one system at home to t'other at work that was niggling me. May try to get Mac repaired whilst I decide.
Good to hear your mum is doing well Lolimac, it's stressful I know, we are in the same boat, use a drug called Spironolactatone, to help dad for a similar complaint, it's a tricky drug to manage.
              The heron :snork:
Hope your foot is soon better Shiney, good luck with the show.
And a really happy day to Moyra, HG, FC, Zigs, Liliana and Jazmine!

Morning all - I've got my sleepy head on this morning, we had a visitor for dinner and a few drinks last night which meant we saw the other one o'clock of the day.

Having done goodness how many hours work over the past load of weeks, last night put the cherry on the bun, so there was no chance of me getting up when the rest of the house woke up. Supposed to be resting today, but not a hope of that, although I will be working from home - seven days and counting until I get 12 days off :yay:

Hope you are all well and happy, and I wish you all a peaceful Sunday

Good Morning all, I am afraid the day cannot make up its mind what it is going to do. It was spitting with rain when I took Amber out so we hurried around rather than get wet if it really came down and now the sun is trying to come out but still very dark clouds up there and it is none too warm either. Have a good day everyone,
                        God bless. :wub2:
