We've been going for years and have noticed a big improvement to the gardens over the last few, at this time of year most of the garden is looking at it's best.

    Hydrangea paniculata "Vanille Fraise Renhy:

    Haemanthus coccineus:

    Cereus peruvianus 'Monstrosus'
    The whole plant:

... and a flower (don't think it belongs to the cacti, rather something else growing on it):

Don't know what this is, but it's touching the roof now (man in shot for scale):

Don't know about that Zigs, I did see Bill Oddy there with a film crew but I don't suppose that's anything to do with GQT.

Hiya John. I've been a couple of times over the years, and have always been impressed. A great day out, if a little far for me.

Maybe a good venue for a GC meet next year?

Good idea Freddy, maybe a mid-summer GC meet in 2015?

I think I read in The Garden some time back that the new Head Beak has allocated more funds to the RHS Gardens??

Travellers Palm, relatively easy from seed (but I lost all my seedlings in the Autumn last year through accidental neglect :( )

They moved it once, already, because it grew so big so quickly. I was there January 2013 and it was well clear of the glass then!!

I have one, I'll try some cuttings for you??

Yes I did too. Mostly when we visit we tend to go with the grandkids and head for the same places, but being on our own for once we went to areas we hadn't visited in years and noticed the massive improvements. It's money well spent in my opinion.

Late spring - mid summer, anytime would be good. A 'barby' back at yours would be a clincher:heehee: (just kiddin')
