Nights look like being cold in many places, my forecast is 8C but I have seen other locations forecast for around 3C, so perhaps close up greenhouses tighter than you might normally do in August (I normally leave vents open one-notch throughout the summer)

The cold seem to have stopped my cucumbers in their tracks, also I've given up on my outdoor tomatoes now, they will never ripen at this rate.

I didn't open any vents during the day until mid afternoon, it's struggling to get above 20 deg even inside.

Down to 9 degrees here tonight:rolleyespink: The daytime temperatures here are set to rise again into the low 20's early next week:whistle: No wonder the plants don't know what to do,my Magnolia has flowered again which isn't necessarily out of the ordinary but I've never seen Clematis Montana Rubens produce flower buds at this time of the year before:scratch:

Was it exceptionally early to flower in the Spring, following the mild winter? Perhaps it thinks its been a long time since it last flowered :heehee: - day length (and night temperature) would be fooling it too - so perhaps the combination of all three?

Not seeing as much wasp activity as usual, normally August Bank Holiday is their zenith ...
