          No dinner tonight. This afternoon we got an invitation to a charity soiree this evening. Ooh! Ain't we posh!! :heehee:

          So I've just put on some home made chicken soup to heat up - with pieces of chicken and some noodles. Fortunately I made half a gallon of it, so I can have as much as I like :blue thumb:

                  Slow roasted Topside (Aberdeen Angus) with roast taters,peas,carrots,parsnips and also runner beans,for Mr K and also Yorkshire pudding but don't know how it will turn out as I have run out of plain flour and have had to use SR instead :snork:

                  For afters no doubt Mr K will have some Conferance Pears picked off our tree and I shall have some Victoria plums also picked off of our tree over at the lottie:biggrin:

                    :yikes::gaah:
                    My two pet hates about British food - cooked carrots (love them raw) and cooked polystyrene (sorry, but that is what parsnips remind me of :heehee:). Love the rest though, although a "catering" rolled brisket joint is my fave.

                    We had chicken and mixed pulse taggine (made with dates in there for the sweet element and quite heavy on the cinnamon) with butternut squash and sweet potato mash (as it says with garlic, chopped coriander and fennel seeds). Stepson (who at 22 should know better) grated cheese over his!!!!
