I've just come back from the plot having measured again, my biggest is now 88lb, an increase of 24lb since Saturday (8lb per day). So we are still going and growing here in Cumbria

I'll get some photo's at the weekend, but my biggest is now 109lb, an increase of 21lb in two days (10.5lb per day). I'll measure and photo over the weekend.

I've always been great at throwing some shapes, you should see some of my moves too! lol

Seriously though, my big one is a long fruit and is starting to get a hump on one side, all the others so far I think are nicely shaped. Need to have a proper look tomorrow,

                Steve...:)

                        Cheers folks :)

Not a winner, but a pump at least :)

First one went pummy, but this one is outside the plot on an old compost heap, that's why I didn't know it was there

Sis has got some huge ones but she's not allowed on GC :heehee:

These photos and measurements where taken Friday (Yesterday) afternoon.

The 427 fruit is continuing it rapid growth with a 9lb increase on yesterday, now at 118lb. Here are a couple of shots from different angles of it.

On the 978 plant, the fruit is growing slower and is now 69.3lb, average growth for the last six days on this one is 4.2lbs per day. The foliage of this plant is now lack lustre though, it looks like pumpkin plants do at the end of October

The 847 plant was planted out late, after potatoes where harvested from that bed, but I do have a small fruit on this one, currently 34lb

The 1271 plant has 2 fruit growing on it, I want to cut one off to allow the plant to put all energy into one fruit, but I cannot decide which one to cull. One is growing on the main vine, the other on a side vine. The bigger of the two is on the side vine and logic dictates the one on the main vine will grow better as it has more plant behind it, so to speak. But I cant bring myself to cut a decent pumpkin off. I've decided to measure again in a couple of days and see if one is growing faster than the other (proportionally speaking of course).

The two fruits, the nearer one is on the side vine, the top one is on the main vine.

The main vine fruit, currently 56.1lb

The side vine fruit, currently 74.7lb
