Thanks for that advice Spruce . I must order a new mini GH soon - when all the toms have been disposed of. There are a few bits and bobs I would prefer to keep out of the Winter chill . That is a lovely lavender blue one...

Had a few people pop round for odds and ends from the garden - a DIY job (Dig It Yourself) - and they took more of the crocosmia.

I took half a dozen big compost bags full of shrub cuttings to the green waste lorry in the village and had a wander round the funfair that has appeared on the green. Then mowed half of the lawns but had to get Mrs Shiney to empty the barrow as it's a proper two handed job.

@Jenny namaste it shouldn't be too long now. The heap is 8ft high but my neighbours keep sitting out in the garden in the evening and the wind is blowing the wrong way. I'll have to wait for the wind to come from the north. No northerly wind forecast in the next ten days.

Good evening I am in the process of making 3 new beds, replacing 6 fence panels and posts plus gravel boards, building two more raised beds, have removed some old trees, and leveling and digging over a new large border, plus emptying 6 trugs of leaves and branches every day of the neighbours over hanging branches, treating the new fence panels, this will keep yours truly busy for a while:yes: in fact I am planning a garden makeover which should see me through the winter months:blue thumb:;)

Well.. I was picking windfall apples, until I got up and bashed my head on a sticky out piece that I keep meaning to cut.

Pulled the finished annuals from baskets and pots at the front of the house then started digging out turf, that's got to be the hardest job in the garden! I'll reveal tomorrow what I've been doing. :)

Sorry Eve, the job didn't get completed today, I had to go out. Don't get too excited, nothing grand is going on just a little job that Spruce pointed out and my conscience has got to me! :)
