Good morning JWK its purely my personal taste, and as we both know someone else might love the taste, what really concerns me is that I don't think if I left them until Christmas they still wouldn't be ripe enough to eat,I cannot say anything really negative about them and I am no expert tomato grower, maybe you or someone else could make a success of them:smile: Hope this helps my friend:smile:

After last years disappointing results, I'm happy to report that the Manx Marvels I grew from saved seed this year have far excelled expectations in both size and flavour, will definitely save some seed from this years harvest.

I hate to say this but my toms have been fine:dunno::sofa: I've had heavy crops from Rosada, Jeane Flamme, Alicante , Shirley, and Ailsa Craig and had to pass on the surplus to the neighbours. The toms have had a couple attacks of Botrytis but it cleared up and they still cropping heavily now.........a much better year than last year.:coffee:

Well, my neighbours don't grow toms so they happily take what I pass on. One of my neighbours is a Chef so she returns the favour with Apple pies [had one yesterday:yes:]. I also have plenty of tomato sarnies, fried toms, and lots of Bolognese:heehee:

Absolutely. loli!!!!!:hapydancsmil::hapfeet:Rosada has that real rich tomato taste and is really sweet. The Jeane Flamme are slightly bigger. still have the rich tomato taste but not quite as sweet but I've grown them for the last two years and will grow them again, along with Rosada, next year.:coffee::snork:

Hmmm, my jaune flamme isn't very tasty (not very tomatoey). Obviously doesn't like what I'm feeding it. Which is a shame as it's really prodigious. Also I find it splits when you take it off the plant.

Here's my monster indigo rose. It's a good tomato for frying. This one I grew as 3 stems it'll have 130 fruit on it. I took off all the ones that aren't likely to ripen, leaving 116 + the ones I've already taken.

Here's the bottom, just to show it really is one plant:

 Hmm. definitely not had any of those problems, Cinnamon:dunno::snork: The Rosada and Jeanne Flamme taste even richer if you can leave them until they are a bright deep red. But Rosada are definitely the sweeter but I just love the real tomato taste of them both. I have to confess that I haven't fed them as much as I did last year due to me being a bit "off" for some weeks, but they've been watered regularly and left to get on with things.
