I have not seen any swifts for about 4 weeks and this morning a good 10 or 15 feeding over the river they stayed about a hour and then headed off in the direction of Devon/Cornwall.

They haven't all gone yet but most have, there were hundreds in Mallorca last week taking their time going South.
Not much wildlife there this time, this is the only Lizard I saw in two weeks.

A Pine Cicada, when it stopped making a noise it was almost impossible to find.

Without these fabulous pictures we miss so much unless we really look closely, even the humble Fly although annoying at times is really a fascinating thing close up:dbgrtmb:

It's actually by taking these shots, loli, that I've learnt how much the fly pollinates the flowers and fruit. They're always hovering around and landing of the flowers and obviously are feeding off the pollen and backing up the Bees. Perhaps they're more of a benefit than we give them credit for, and when you get a close up of them you can see how smart looking they can be.:dunno::snork:

I remember being told that this fly will eat you alive and I was always afraid of it. It is really very handsome and I would love to see a picture of it taken by you @ARMANDII.
