        Evening Geezer:)

Look after yourself, but be careful not to go harmful extremes. A few weeks ago I found myself being raced to hospital after some pains and a brief lapse of consciousness. Tests found the location of the fault but not the cause, so I did some research when I was released. I'd been on a 'healthy' diet for 6 months leading up to it, and been ill for the entire 6 months, but made no connection with the diet change. That is until I read what happens if you don't get enough protein, as is the risk when you're on the NHS's idea of a health diet. I wont bore you with details, but suffice to say it is essential, absolutely crucial, that any diet improvement you make doesn't accidentally result in a protein deficiency. All the best my friend:)

Thanks for the advice @clueless1, and good morning (I might have fallen asleep whilst logged in last night)
I was quite surprised by the menu on the coronary care ward......sausages, cheeses etc, but there was always a healthier option like pastas, salads, or a brown bread ham sandwich.
I must admit, that it does seem that I become poorly when trying to improve my lifestyle and eating habits. I might have to add protein to my spreadsheet :blue thumb: Thank you.

That's good news that you've been sorted. :blue thumb:

Although you need to keep up the diet you need to make sure you have a balanced diet.

Just caught up with this thread, glad to hear you are on the mend and they found the blockage early. My dad died of a heart attack, the doctors knew what was going to happen but by the time they got to his arteries, they were too furred up to get a stent in.

You have been lucky, and it just shows you should never ignore the little signs/symptoms.

Sorry to hear about your dad
My dad died at 59 from a heart attack.
The doctor said I had done the right thing, as in reporting something new, and something different to me. I knew it wasn't reflux or a sore throat etc. As you say, never ignore those little signs.

Feeling a bit sore today. Quite a bit of bruising for a small wound. I think the darker bruising up my arm is from the tube they put in to guide the wire. 20140701_100430.jpg 20140701_100335.jpg
