Sorry, but the whole formula e is a bit of joke.
In one day there is practice, qualifying and the race. So the driver has to set up two cars in a single practise session which basically means that whichever team guesses best back at the workshop will win.
The sound and the speed of the cars makes me laugh.
Each driver NEEDS two cars for a single one hour race:roflol:
And "fan boost"! How desperate a concept is that!:lolpt:

Much as it sounds as if I'm mocking, the last two points raise serious questions. This was a serious attempt by true believers to push the electric vehicle revolution on a world stage. Yet electric cars are still so limited that they needed to resort to the last two points?

I'd be willing to bet a fiver that the first motor car race saw its fair share of naysayers, when those cars would max out at a steady jogging pace and then break down after a short distance.
An all electric grand prix is not merely a sign that all electric is there, it is a sign that there is starting to be enough faith in it to take it from the urban shopping car to the race track. As I said earlier, the technology is there, it is just the will that is lacking. By having an all electric grand prix, a massive statement is being made that screams 'look, we're now trying it in the most demanding arena of motoring, so I'm sure if we can do this, you can accept an all electric urban runabout'.

Forgive my cynicism, but a grand prix has to last 190 miles (approx) and be completed in just one car. Not 50 miles in two cars!

Electric cars have been around for decades yet with the might of the FIA, Williams and Renault (plus numerous other partners and an investment in the region of 100 million) this is the best that can be done?
It took an hour and three quarters to cover 50 miles on a very straightforward track.................

The Singapore track used for the F1 grand prix is similar.

It takes a formula 1 car close to 2 hours to do the 190 mile race here.

The top speed of a Formula E (cost of car is eur350000) is 150mph with a zero to 60 time of about three seconds (comparable with a Caterham 7 CSR costing about £35000).

The above simply proves how far away the electric car is from becoming a viable replacement for what we have now.

My guess having watched some videos is that Formula E will have died a death in four years.

Are they not recommendations from the disc manufacturer?? I have been told in the past on buying new pads, that the discs are less than the recommended tolerance. I asked if that was an MOT failure, and was told no , its just recommended that they are changed.
I hope I have that right. Don't take it as true before checking it out yourselves.
I didn't bother changing them, but would have on the next pad change. Car now sold though :)
Edit: The garage did make a note of it on the receipt, and this was passed on to the garage I sold it to :blue thumb:
