Not if you have bad arthritis

Good for you, as you won't want it as it's a real pain

Sawn up some guttering so it fits in the shed and got a man round to quote on a new patio and path

Oh and killed some slugs that had been living under the guttering

I want to be doing some potting on but ran out of compost

Got a wee bit done in the garden today - mostly bagging up the dead tomato plants and their rootballs ready to go off to the tip, as well as putting a few pelargoniums into pots to bring into the house for winter. I am tempted to propagate cuttings off them for next year, but not sure if its the right time?

Then I retired indoors to make a batch of Lemon Marmalade (15 x 8oz jars) and a batch of Spiced berry and apple jam (12 x 8oz jars) which is absolutely yummy - so much so, I am going to make a similar batch through the week with the remainder of the berries.

Now all I need to do is work out what to do with about 8 very large Bramley apples......

All I've had time to do outside today is dig up some iris and put the sprinkler on later. Then like FC I tied myself to the kitchen. I'm just noshing on my first piece of my first home made bread pudding! Almost like mum used to make, it's not bad actually. :)

@fat controller they would probably root but would get a bit leggy over winter from lack of light.

Not done much today, as had new gas boiler put in...

But did manage to strip the leaves off my two tomato's bushes should have done this a couple weeks back but just haven't had time.

And finally finished off clearing the concrete slab for the greenhouse phew.... Getting a bit close as I'm in work tomorrow as I work a 12 hour shift, not only is it going to be dark when I get home, but I'll be to knackered for anything...

Greenhouse arrives on Wednesday morning, as apparently we're first drop :) so plan is to get the frame built Wednesday and glass in on Thursday but there is a but to this, hubby due to eye surgery is restricted to no lifting....... So it's mainly me doing the building and glazing and I'm out shopping on Friday with oldest daughter so it's going to be a challenge to get it done in two days..

Emptied the hanging baskets already, they lasted last year till mid October but the compost had totally dried out and had it.
Emptied 2 pots also ready to plant up this weekend.
Dead headed the dahlias (loads of seed for next year)

Yesterday I planted up an easy fill hanging basket with winter pansies and another for a friend with primroses and pansies. Also did them a container with an acer (orange dream) and narcissus (sun disc) around the edge.
Boyfriend got me this for my birthday so I'm going to put one of my acers with contrasting tulips round the edge. The acer is Katsura so I think some orange tulips (perhaps princess Irene) would set it all off quite well.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to decide where the rest of my daffs and allium are going to go, got quite a few perennials to dig up for a friend so will probably make a start on that this weekend. I also got this for my birthday which has been put in the middle of a large 'woodland' bed at the back of our garden. Wanted one for ages, I love it.

Today I watered the plants in the shed and mini greenhouse and ate 2 tomatoes off my plants! :heehee:
