i have plans! for the garden that is lol im thinking ahead :)going to do the garden in sections because its time consuming, plus money is a factor sooooooooooooo this year i have started doing some prep but ive had so many ideas i have actually done my own head in hehehh anyway! i had a thought:)(i know dangerous! hahah) i think i will put a herb pyramid at the bottom of the garden where i have cleared some lawn but also want to do some flowers:) quite a biggish patch(25 foot by 10 and 1/2 foot) anyway i will be getting a gadget to check soil type then doing research until i am ready to plant in spring sooooooooooooooo my question is have any of you used colour blocking (well thats my term for it) where you have specific areas for specific colours? i quite fancy just having lilacs, purples and blues all together. Do you think it will look ok?

I like these colours as well, I have found that mixing in a bit of white shows them off even better!

I'm with Val on this. Be careful with all dark colours together they can look very dull, also think about the area they will be planted in, if it's shady they will just disappear into the background. :)
