I think you're right there FC, it's time to take a break from this years gardening. I still have annuals to clear, the tomatoes are almost finished and then I'll put the garden to bed. Almost time to start studying seed catalogues for next year. :)

Thanks Jack. They're a bit out of focus as it was getting a bit dark.

      And cut some more

Thanks, redstar :blue thumb:. I got a bit behind on the mowing as we have been on holiday.

@JackJJW I open my garden for charity at the end of May and a lot of GC members come along as well. It would be a good time for you to come and meet most of the nutters on here :heehee:. There were about 20 of us this year. :) I put an invite on here around Feb time.

Never bother with Photoshop. What you see is what you get - bins and all! :roflol: I couldn't be bothered to move it out of the way (which would have been quicker than Photoshop :)).

Salvia, Penstemon, Fuchsia (the "hardy" :) ones) and Coleus. Also all the Hydrangeas that I don't have a spare of, as they are still a bit young and I'm aiming to have at least 2 of each type "just in case" - I presume when they are bigger, and the trees / canopy around them has grown up, they'll withstand more cold. The Spring cold winds did the damage this year (and again i think they will recover from that better when they are older). I'm thinking of putting up some debris netting next Spring, as a windbreak, to help until the deciduous hedges are in leaf. Hydrangeas [try to] come into leaf so early in the year they are a danger to themselves ...

                      Thanks,
That's why they recommend that the old flowers are left on the plant until late Spring. :)

By the way, a peculiar thing has happened. When I went into the garden this morning someone had put the bin back into the middle of the lawn!
