I thought my Runners (Scarlet Emperor) and French Beans (Cobra) were coming to an end but they're back in business:blue thumb:...they've done really well from my small crop considering most got eaten by snails in the early days:rolleyespink:

I've just lifted half of my bean plants and dumped them in the wheelie bins. They had bean rust - not unusual at this time of year. The other half will go next week.

 My runners are the best for years, they started off slowly only average setting, but now a second coming, every bean is setting, just masses of beans and I don't know why.
It must be weather related, wet and warm.
I have noticed too that the Ice plants nearby are covered in honey bees, perhaps they also are pollinating the beans..........
I don't mind as I love them I keep telling my wife that I would like just a plate of beans with just butter, pepper and salt.................yum yum.

And for further reference :) the DATE/TIME in the status line below the message is a perma-link to that individual message, so can be used to provide a direct reference URL link to that page/message in a thread :)

Just means that the thread is highlighted to you, so you are more likely to see and read that post

Not sure it will make any difference if I put @rosietutu in this post as you have already replied in this post it will be in your Watch list ... but if I did that in a thread that you were not active in / watching then that post, in that thread, would be highlighted to you.
