I had to go to the US a few days ago and took my personal DVD player (so last century I know!) as it was an opportunity to catch up on a few DVDs.
State of Play is a feature film remake of the BBC tv series of the same name. Finally Hollywood has taken a British classic and done it justice....................

I also took the box set of the original...................

I also got round to watching Hana-Bi again (one of my all time favourites).............

A combination of jetlag and insomnia meant that I watched two films last night.
Having said that Munich was definitely worthy of the hype surrounding Spielberg....................

Then I watched 50 Dead Men Walking..................

Not the best film about The Troubles in Northern Ireland, but a long, long way from the worst.

Watched Gravity the other night Northants Geezer and although the special effects were good I don't think it is a film I would have rushed out to buy but Mr K wanted it:snork:

Watched Non-Stop with Liam Neeson, now that was worth buying with all it's twists and turns and it was very good very much like his other good film Taken:biggrin:

            Shutter Island..................

Directed by Scorcese it is very much a homage to the great Hitchcock thrillers. Not what you usually think of as a Scorcese film but I loved every minute of it.

I reckon most women would have said yes to Demi Moore too:snork:

At the time most of my mates said that they would not sleep with a man for a million. Most of them were fibbers I reckon!

Anyway, as I've sprained my ankle I watched Harry Brown this afternoon.................

It's like the British have remade Death Wish, given it some soul and cast an actor who can act in the lead role! I love it when the British do dark this well:blue thumb:
