My guilty secret - I love Brains faggots! Lord knows what's in them but I like them.

Have you ever tried liver curry?

Never tried it curried - but I think that could be lovely!
Have you tried it bbq'd? ;) A Libyan friend of mine showed me how - it's gorgeous!

No. I'd give it a go even though I basically dislike barbecues.

            Just finishing the cooking.

We have home made chicken noodle soup, followed by chicken thigh fillets marinated in garlic, chilli, spices and herbs and grilled on a trivet with potato wedges frying underneath in the marinade that is dripping down on them. A big plate of runner beans to accompany it.

Had a lovely dinner out today - Thursday was Little C's 11th birthday, and as a birthday treat she wanted to go to the local Beefeater today for dinner.

I had their Chicken Liver Pate with Onion Marmalade to start, 8oz steak medium rare, with their 'ultimate' chips, finished with a corker of a wedge of Black Forest Gateau drizzled with cherries soaked in kirch, and a cherry sauce. All washed down with a couple of my usual B&C (doubles of course :snork:)

As always, the food was spot on, the service was top notch, and the bill - - well, it was just under £78 for the three of us having three courses each and drinks, so not three-bad. :blue thumb:

Ours is simmering away on the woodburner - Mexican stylie stew with a pork tenderloin waiting to go in in about 30 minutes time. Serving it with peas 'n rice and date and walnut bread to mop up.

Chicken Tagliatelle, with added Tabasco because it was a bit bland without it
                        Strawberries for afters :)
