An assortment from yesterday, not bad for a late start and the blight too

 

Yum love they brilliant shiny colours

 

These were last of the season from a lateral cutting plant tommy toe

 

Todays Alicantes they never fail to disappoint IMHO...

 

but how is the flavour rgds alex

 

@alexmac ...I'd say a good all rounder Alex,nothing out of the ordinary but a nice mellow 'tomatoey' taste

The last of my Gardeners Delight,getting sweeter by the day there was a about a dozen more but I've scoffed them while gardening today

 

I wouldn't grow Alicante again, nor Moneymaker nor Ailsa Craig. Many much nicer ones available (although I'd be the first to admit that its very subjective, and personal preference [plus husbandry and soil may well make a difference comparing your garden and, say, mine])

Lots of seeds packets of those varieties available in the Sheds every year though ...

The Minke Marvels are dying back now, but still a few breakfasts in them

 

Mine are still cropping quite well, but I'm still not half way through them. Dunno if they'll just stop, with the cooler weather.

I think you're right, although they are in the greenhouse. Still, I always knew I was taking a chance, sowing so late.

 

Oh, I didn't realise, worth keeping them going then. Temperatures will be down next week, but there will be some sun as well
