        Flipping heck Zigs not seen them before. I hope they don't appear around here.. Not heard any of the allotment lot mention them yet.. Although I don't like having the net drop curtains over the doors all the time they are obviously a necessity on my poly tunnel.. My we are getting some nasty pests landing here these days.... Thanks for the heads up though I will ask the allotment peeps though as they can then be aware....:paladin:

        They only arrived here 2 years ago Marley :sad: It's not just the odd plant that gets it, they wipe the lot out :hate-shocked:

            About 10 of them came back from the roots, i've hoiked them out and put them in the cold frame :)

              I have only grown Leeks for the last two years and each time they have been attacked by caterpillars eating their way through the top growth, they have not been completely eaten away but it's not looking good. I'm not sure whether this is Leek moth or something else.

              Think I read somewhere that the caterpilars leave them vulnerable to a fungus or a virus. Have yours turned into a slimey mess yet?

              No, that wont happen until Mrs Scrungee cooks them in a white sauce.

                Just took a couple of pics, I have squashed the tops but the caterpillars are farther down, the leeks still seem to be growing.
