Fish and chips from the local chippy - not worth the 9 mile round trip :eeew:
Would have been better off with oven chips and fish fingers

Pork shanks slow braised on top of my woodburner last night and this afternoon. They were cooked in an apple and peppercorn sauce served with cabbage and a leek, Parmesan and potato mash.

Charlie Bighams cottage pie, with baked beans and our own carrots. For afters I had home made Raspberry Ice cream,Mr Kandy had a pear:smile: Got the pie cheaper than the proper price as it was on offer and the posh supermarket where we bought it from had sent us some vouchers so used them as well.:snork:

As I spent a lot of time today either chained to my iron or cleaning out our caravan after last two weeks holiday decided to have a cheat meal tonight.Still had to prepare the carrots and cook it all though, plus I did the washing up afterwards,phew...:snork:

It was! One of the main reasons that I love my woodburner is recipes like this - it's the ultimate slow cooker.

We love wraps. All the stuff in the middle of the table, make a mess building your wrap and talk.

Hey - it's not just me that has baked beans with cottage pie:hapydancsmil:
