Bright and sunny again. 14C and getting warmer as the week progresses. Perhaps we're going to skip winter this year!

:ideaIPB:I stayed there, Sheal, for a day or two at a B&B some years ago

Hope is a village in the DerbyshirePeak District, in England. It lies in the Hope Valley, at the point where Peakshole Water flows into the River Noe. To the north, Win Hill and Lose Hill stand either side of the Noe.

It has a number of caves around it, one is named after the Devil:hate-shocked::heehee:

Peak Cavern is the only wholly natural cavern of the four and is the least commercialised. It is owned by the Duchy of Lancaster but now managed by the owners of Speedwell Cavern. It was known to locals as the Devil's arse and the stream issuing from it as the Styx, which give some idea of the mixed feelings the local people had about this natural wonder. :heehee:

We love Hope and Lose Hill, and Win hill and Castleton and Mam Tor and as my nickname is Winney then we always call it Winneys hill:snork:

In fact we love the area so much we might just visit it again in seventy odd days time and with luck we shall find some snow, not like the torrential rain we are having at this time.:gaah::eeew:

It's raining steadily right now and has been for the last 2 hours [much to the Cat's disgust:cat-kittyandsmiley::heehee:]. The temperature is now 52f:coffee::snork:
