Even the professional wildlife photographers, Woo, find it hard to get sharp, in focus, shots of flying birds. They usually take multiple shots in good light, with a higher ASA speed to get that faster shutter speed.........then take their pick for the best out of the multiple shots, while people think they got that shot in one:dunno::snork:

I've been getting lone wasps in the house recently, I'm assuming they're getting in via keyholes? Hopefully?

They're an intelligent beastie, Ellen. They're getting ready to leave their nests around this time so they'll be looking for new sites where ever they can. So they'll be taking advantage of any open door, window or gap!!:snork::coffee:

Loli, I know what you mean!
A Red Kite (uncommon down here) flew over on my walk Tuesday, just a silhouette.

No walks for an indefinite period due to Heel spur, in fact I am on crutches :frown: so I'll just have to look at others' pics.:blue thumb:

While I know it ain't easy to do things on the "hop" so to speak, if you know you might be having silhouette problems then set your camera to over expose by one or two stops and that should help. What usually happens is that the camera reads the exposure for the skies and the actual subject [birdie:heehee:] gets underexposed.

Sorry to hear that, Strongy.:love30::grphg: I hope you'll be back on your feet soon............but what did I say about not drinking that bottle of Ziggy's Home Made Fire Water??.:nonofinger::heehee:

Typical, I take my best camera with a telephoto lens on to the plot every day but no Red Kites show, I call in on the way to town and one alights in a tree right in front of us when I've only got a little point and shoot in my pocket.
