Survival blanket

Just a quick thought would one of those survival blankets be any good at insulating a GH.
Only doing the sides with it and bubble wrapping the roof?

 

My first thoughts would be no.
Dont they rely on a heat source, ie the body, and then reflect it back?

 

No, you'm better off saving it in your survival kit.

 

Might be good to line a light box with though

 

No, white paper reflects more usefull wavelengths, better off keeping it with the rest of the survival stuff, along with a few years supply of heritage seeds (no use in keeping F1's in a survival situation )

I used foil last year but noticed you can get a good sized survival blanket for under £2

 

They didn't exist when he did, I dont think.

I used a survival blanket to line my first light box , they are amazingly cheap on Ebay . I use diamond mylar for lining now, that really does the job well.
Look at the price for a survival blanket / tent !!! £0.99 . Premier Inns will never match that !
