    I've seen that, it starts out OK but then starts to get a bit ridiculous.

      I am surprised he even entertained a role in a film like that to be honest. Mind you, I would if I was getting a whole load of wonga for it :heehee:

          Utterly brilliant!
          I also managed to watch all twenty episodes of the first series of The Killing with my daughter over Sunday and Monday (surreal - went to Utrecht to see her and ended up watching 20 hours of telly together!). That was even brillianter!!!

                  I was reminded of a film by the death of Acker Bilk

                  A Taste of Honey - a winner of numerous awards and turned Rita Tushingham into a film star.

                  Dora Bryan was excellent in this as well, I always found it a bit depressing.

                  It certainly was! It was one of the first of the 'kitchen sink' genre.

                    A brilliant film!

                    That was a great genre in the history of British film making.

                    Since being laid up I've watched several British films from the noughties. Mostly forgettable, but here are three that I thought were quite good;
                    Clubbed. Great performances all round. Low budget but well worth watching.................

                    St. Georges Day. A stylised gangster flick, but rather enjoyable anyway...............

                    Shifty. Class performances all round in another low budget film. LANGUAGE ALERT...............
