Last night we had two giant fish fingers each from Waitrose, with oven chips and peas for me and peas, french beans, runner beans and broad beans for Mr Kandy:biggrin:

Sometime today we are having a nice beef stew casserole which at the moment is cooking away nicely in my slow cooker:smile:

No problem, we've also been supplying the staff at one of our Indian restaurants (they own the Asian wholesalers) as the ones they buy in for sale are nowhere near as nice. They don't use them for the customers. :)

The plant is still going strong. :blue thumb:

@NorthantsGeezer ,I picked up one of those £17 slow cookers the other week but as per normal The Boss said that there was nothing wrong with our old one so I had to put it back:cry3::wallbanging:

I have seen on some blogs several people talking about those Halogen ovens that they use it n the caravans but as yet haven't even seen them in the shops so can't really say.Other people say the Romaskas(spelling)are good that you get from places like Lakeland and Frugal Queen swears by her mini oven:biggrin:Another friend likes her Actifry etc etc,now what was the question?:snork:

Spotted this on my butcher's shelf. New to me - it's LMC which is "Leg of mutton " cut. Best cooked slowly ( like brisket ) but full of beefy flavour apparently. So, in the slow cook crock pot with a bay leaf or two and a 25cl slosh of cheap red wine in a wax carton. If you are interested, here's a video- not for the squeamish though...
