I've been busy this morning down at a local farm. As the forecast was rain I wanted to get the outside work done before the deluge. So I've just filled 20 x 70 litre compost bags with hot horse poo! Just unloaded the last bag and the rain started :blue thumb:

I'll do as bit of muck spreading this afternoon. :)

Popped out earlier to move some pots into the shed and garage, and wrapped a fleece over the heavy one. Fingers crossed for my zonal geraniums I haven't taken cuttings from/dug up yet!
I also collected new greenhouse glass earlier. Should have it done on the weekend.

Well, I pruned out a few weak stragglers from the dark red rose bush and tied two longer, stronger ones to the trellis for next year.
And I've just rushed out and put a dry cleaner's polybag over my tender Alstromeria Rock and Roll - just in case.

ps - new mini greenhouse undergoing copious coats of Sadolin ( thank you Mr Namaste) at the moment but should be in situ and ready for "tenders" in a couple more days....:fingers crossed: :fingers crossed: :fingers crossed:

Managed to cut the grass in the front garden as it was almost dry and pull up all the summer bedding just before the rain came in.

It got down to 6C here last night, so spent the day assembling the blowaway greenhouse (considering I wrote on the poles which were what, it took ages!), taping up the slashes where the cats used it for a trampoline, weighting it down, tying it down and filling it. Guaranteed that the weather will warm up again now:biggrin:

Well, I've only got 5 bags of horse poo left. The rest has been spread on the garden. Will collect another 20 next week, I hope.

Struggling to find where to put the 10 tulips "Queen of the Night" and the 30 daffodil bulbs (can't recall the variety) in my rear garden. Thought about a trough .. moved it into situ (pre-planting) disliked the location. But bulbs back into carrier bag until inspiration strikes :wallbanging: (Wanders off muttering that I'd rather be shovelling horse manure .... )

Cut all the dahlias down to the ground. The black foliage makes me feel very sad.
