Just about everywhere, usually free. Trading estates are a good source.
What do you need them for?

Builders Merchants usually let you have them for free too.

As longk suggests, trading estates are always worth a try. Many firms are only too pleased to have someone take them off their hands.

When I tried to get "free" pallets, many companies were saying that they have to reuse/recycle them now - and yes, that was from the trading estates.

I used to get around 100 pallets p.a. from local businesses for free, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to get them as more people get woodburners, including those who work for the places I used to get them from.

The trick is not to ask companies whose product goes out on pallets! It is a bun fight on our estate for pallets. One company gives me between two and ten a week! In the winter I can easily burn one a night - they give quick heat (and lots of it) so that is where the demand comes from. A chainsaw makes easy work of them.

But a cordless jigsaw helps stack the max. number in the back of an MPV. And I always sweep up afterwards.
