    Hi All, :chicken:
feed the birds tuppence a bag :chicken: as if :snork::biggrin::rolleyespink:

Every year I moan about the price of peanuts for the birds , bags get smaller and the price goes up sound just like the tins of sweets for Christmas I remember I used to put cakes in them but the size of them now 6 mince pies is a crush .

Cheapest nuts and hopefully the safest I have found on Amazon free PP as well £23.89 25 kg sack , local B&Q was £25.00 for 12.75KG

I'd just like to add, that if buying stuff from Amazon you can make charitable donations FOC, so can feed wild birds PLUS donate the RNLI (or other charities) by clicking through the appropriate links, for example:

      http://www.rnli.org/howtosupportus/otherwaystohelp/Pages/Amazon.aspx

So a £1.19 charitable donation and it costs you nothing.

There's also 5% donations to Macmillan Cancer Support http://shop.macmillan.org.uk/amazon.html for a similar donation, and others with a bit of searching around.

Does anyone actually believe things like free of charge donations or postage and packing?

In the real world it just dont happen.

I mean who is going to send you a package weighing 25kg for nothing:snork:

Well the postage and packing is always built into the end price . We have just ordered a 15 kg bag of dog food with "free P and P" , it still works out 40% cheaper than the price we pay at PetsatHome. I don't know how they build a 15kg package postage into a product and sell it cheaper ?
Anyway Molly is delighted as she can have more chewy toys for Christmas :doggieshmooze:

Those peanuts look well dodgy according to the reviews, as they say you get what you pay for.

we will see what the:chicken: customers :chicken:hanging:chicken: of the bird feeders :chicken:think , I did read the reviews I thought most were positive the biggest moan was about the size "that old nut" :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

              one of the reviews below
I do not normally leave reviews but these folks are worthy of the effort!
The nuts were delivered the day after ordering which was a great surprise.
They appear to be of very good quality which is always a bit of an unknown when ordering from pictures.
I like the fact that they are stored initially in a hemp like sack as it allows the air to keep them dry. Packaging for delivery was again very good consisting of the hemp sack plus a heavy plastic bag plus a white nylon sack.
So - for me, faultless - well done!

                Changing the subject just slightly.
We have a place local that sells cut price pet foods etc.
The fat balls are only a fiver or so for 50.

They are a great bargain, as the birds dont eat them, so they last ages as well.;)
They appear to be made of a mixture of seed, wax and sawdust, lovely.

The main ingredient in cheap fat balls is sand

I wonder how many birds die from eating these cheap nuts?, by the sellers own admission they contain aflatoxins.

                        Hi Guys

the nuts arrived a huge sack , they look really good and the proof in the pudding the birds love them :chicken::phew:

and the two sacks I bought from B&Q a bargain at £5.00 each and when I went only about 20 sacks left :chicken::chicken: so that the birds sorted out for over the winter

Great news, Spruce :dbgrtmb: What are you storing them in?
Bonus! They need that in their tummies to help grind up the rest of the components of the fat ball :blue thumb:
