Don't know how this will come out but i dug out a flower bed the other day (4m x 5m) and being clay i leveled it off with top soil. I went out today on a hunt for leaves and came back with 6 bags full which i used to cover the top soil. I have a bag of nutrients specifically for soil and spread on top of the leaves. I hosed the leaves down and covered the whole bed in sheets of card board. When the weather brightens up, i'll mow the lawn and chuck some of the grass cuttings on top of the cardboard, just to make it look a bit more organic. I'll turn it over in Spring, so i'm interested to see how this turns out  20141119_115124.jpg

This is the stuff i'm using to add some nutrients to the soil. Hope its the right stuff

Not a pretty sight but the whole flower bed is covered in sheet mulch. As soon as i get some grass cuttings i'll spread it on top for a more aesthetic look

Opened the GH doors slightly and the vents on the propagators, gave the young plants a light mist with camomile tea then closed the doors on the GH and closed the vents on the propagators :rolleyespink:

Pruned back part of a Hebe hedge that was growing beyond a gate post on my drive (don't want the car scratched) and then weeded the rose bed.

I started building the new ShineyFrame. All ten 8ft x 3" diameter posts are in the ground. As the weather has been so damp recently the ground was just right for driving the posts in.

Before putting them in I drilled four holes in each, just below the top. These will take screw around which the wires will be wrapped. The wires will be stretched between the post, all around the outside and down the length of the framework. Unfortunately, I looked in my small box of tools (don't do much in the way of DIY) and didn't have the forty screws that I need. So it will have to wait until I drive into town and get them.
