Just finished a nice roast dinner of Welsh lamb @Woo that we got cheap from Waitrose yesterday with roast tatties, and homegrown peas, carrots, parsnip, runner and French beans with a small Yorkshire pudding each and then lamb gravy with some of the lamb juices added to it.:snork:For dessert we had a scone each which we bought from the farm shop yesterday:biggrin:

Mr Kandy is now flaked out watching the Grand Prix and after writing this I am going to get the washing up done as I like it out of the way once dinner is finished:biggrin:

We often have beetroot with pan fried white fish - the combination is fantastic !
(Beetroot boiled in the usual way, thickly sliced, served warm, dressed with olive oil, lemon juice, allspice and parsley)

This evening: Risotto of broad beans and goat cheese and a tomato salad. To follow fresh dates, satsumas and grapes and to round off a nice strong coffee with a small glass of Grappa.

Just using up what ever leftovers we have in the fridge. Leaving tomorrow for a short holiday to Fredricksburg, Va to stay with friends for Thanksgiving Day and the weekend. Of course looking forward to a full out Roasted Turkey dinner and all the wonderful sides.
I am making two things to take along, also bringing some wine. One of them is Pecan Pie, the other is a Crab meat dip, so good, recipe below. Try it .

            Ingredients for 8 servings
            12 oz cream cheese softened

            1/2 cup mayonnaise

            1 1/2 tsp dijon mustard

            3/4 tsp seasoned salt

            1/2 tsp Prepared white horseradish

            1/4 tsp lemon juice

            1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce

1 jar Diced pimiento - (2 oz) drained

            2 tbl Chopped parsley

3/4 lb Lump crab meat picked over
