I think its only fair to mention that some doctors are pretty good.
Lots of us have our stories, but at the end of the day it must be a difficult job.
I think the most common issue is getting the doctors to listen.
My current doctor is very good, and gave me '1 hour' of her time the other day. I was surprised, but I know she listens and knows her stuff. The only thing is...... I won't see anyone else now . The poor woman has me for life :heehee:.

Yes totally agree northants there are some amazing doctors

I owe how well i am recovering to one at the walk in centre at solihull hosp. when i first got sick my gp was like you get tonsilitis all the time there is nothing wrong. Went to this other doctor and he went immediately you have post viral fatigue do nothing apart from 15 mins of light exercise (showering and getting dressed basically) a day for 3 months

I owe a lot to that doctor who listened because of him my body was allowed to rest and not be pushed so i limited the damage and he gave me a chance of improving

Im gutted i dont remember his name because i really wish i could thank him.

Do you have 'ME' @Dips? I know someone with it who suffers terribly, together with OCD.
I am wondering if my OCD will improve if I get my vit D levels up. I think I saw something about it online.

Yeh i have ME its such a horrible illness i know a lot of severe sufferers and its so unfair.

Im so lucky to have improved from severe/moderate to moderate/mild.

No idea on OCD and vit d levels at all.

OCD must be very hard to live with as well

I have fought it for years, but I am losing the battle now. Every year just gets harder.
I will fight on though :blue thumb:
I am pleased for you that you have improved :grphg:

I totally agree there are some fabulous Doctors out there:love30: but one thing that seriously infuriate me is the treatment of older patients  I suppose it comes with the job but take my mother for instance ,she is of the generation where the doctors word is gospel which makes it easy for some GP's to write them off:mad: It's a constant battle to push for blood tests which make's it look like you're 'pestering' but every time the results have shown a problem that needs treatment. We're not Doctors but it's looking like we need to be...

Cor...I bet my blood pressure is sky high:rolleyespink:

I know what you mean @Lolimac . Its a case of finding a good one.
I am always apologising in there, but I do make them aware that the stuff I suggest has been right in the past.
When mum was ill, the GP said it wasn't medical, more social services. I insisted that she was admitted to hospital, and the next day she was gone .

@maria ..... Thank you :) I think it takes about 2-3 months to see an improvement.
