Fantastic pics Shiney!

They certainly evoke the scale and grandeur that was Ancient Egypt. The night time shots made me go quite shivery. I love hieroglyphics and have tried to copy them in watercolours a few times. Your photos of them were well done.

I love the statues of Anubis, Houros etc... and the Ram one...(Can't remember his name...) and of course the Sphinx. Did you go into any of the museums there. I don't suppose you are allowed to take photos inside them.

Lovely thread and very evocative.

I just wish you could see these magnificent places without the constant stream of tourists queuing up in front and behind you... :(

I've done Egypt 3 times now! it's so cheap to get there and so cheap when your there!! and the people love you.

Compliments on your amazing photography skills Shiney, very impressive. I remember being in Egypt in '83. At that time we were allowed inside the pyramids, i've heard they've now stopped tourists from entering. I don't know how true this is!
