I hope you continue to be vermin free with such a well stocked "pantry" :heehee:

Only teasing - I think you are wonderful to invest in your local wildlife

on a dull day raining and windy and in they come , the Nuthatch is my favorite I can be 6 feet away from it now and it carries on feeding , my mum told me the story when I was 6 I went out into the garden and gave the birds a full box of porridge oats :snork: when every where was covered in snow

Aww, Spruce!!!!! What a wonderful person you already were at 6yo :grphg:
(Did your mother explain to you about .... :th scifD36: .... "bloat" ... ... :dunno: ) :heehee:

My daughter, then aged around 6yo and a few days after a bonfire night back garden effort ... calmly walked into the lounge delicately holding in the cup of her hands, a manky, maggot infested, decomposing blackbird :eeew:

She very gingerly walked right up to me carrying her precious cargo, thrust it under my nose, and ... put forward her genuine, childlike request:-

"Mummy: will you kiss it better, please?" :noidea:

:hate-shocked: :eeew: :help: :eeew: :runforhills: :eeew:

          (As a mother, I believed I was good; as a person ... I knew ... I wasn't *that* good! )

So, as any reasonable parent would do ... I abdicated *any* responsibility; instructed her to "put it back: gently!" and to let God do what was best for it :phew:

If only she had asked me for oats ... :dunno:

I've just ordered 25kg of suet pellets from an ebay seller for £16.70. They seem to be the most popular food with the birds in my garden. Peanuts go off before they are eaten and sunflower seeds are spat out?!

Yes, I have two of these Guardman Feeders (which are very east to take apart and clean) and currently I have to fill them twice a day. Sorry to post this pic again
