I made some strange porridge concoction, but it was nice, theoretically very healthy, and kept me going all day long until tea time just now.

It started off as normal porridge, just oats and milk. But I added a load of raisins, dessicated coconut, and ground almonds. I also added some fennel seeds and ground turmeric.

All this was instead of my usual grilled Danish bacon, fried egg, baked beans on toast.

So why did I add turmeric? Why not. Its supposed to be good for all sorts of things, and seeing as it changes the colour of food more than the flavour, I thought I'd give it a go. It was ok, but my porridge concoction came out bright yellow

 

I had a Pork, Plum & Mulled Wine Sausage sandwich

The sausages smelt amazing and really christmassy when being cooked but they just tasted like nice sausages

got 3 left for lunch :-)

Son made me brunch:-
bacon sandwich, cup of tea and a mince pie
(Had my head down in my office and tempus fugit so kind hearted soul made the above for us to share ). Cor, best I've tasted in a long, long time!
