Ah! There's no waves = no wind. Was it an offshore wind? Or personal wind? :) :) :) (Just joking!)

          Feel the force, Luke.

You can see its effects in the sea though. There's a little bit of a swell.

Swell is caused by a previous wind in a far distant spot many miles away. Waves are made by current wind in the present location. (Pedant.) :) :) Breakers on a beach in a glassy calm sea are caused by tidal effect.

I've epheremally balanced stones before but they don't have any permanenticity. When I either turn around or look back 2 minutes later, they've fallen over. The biggest ones are the easiest to do. The littlest ones are impossible. :( :( What sort of glue do you use, Zigs? :) :) Seriously, those stones look good.

I start these at weddings and suchlike but when they reach 3 or 4 feet, invariably some old hag comes along and snatches them down, screaming "You'll cause an accident" or somelike phrase. The best ones are glasses. It's absolutely amazing what height you can get a column of glasses to. But then someone at the table gets nervous and starts taking them down. :( :( A deck of cards is the hardest; I'm absolutely useless at them. (No doubt helped by someone banging their knee up underneath the table.) :) :)

P.S. That's not me looking in trepidation; it's just one of the guys opposite me getting nervous.

If you don't get it right, do they accuse you of being unbalanced?

It depends if they are the irregular shaped or not.

Nice day for it today, the calm after the storm.

Went down looking for Whale Barf, but whatever the sea had thrown up, it took it back down again with it, no strand line at all
