    She sounds wonderful! And you are so, so fortunate to have her :blue thumb:
    Mine died 23 years ago and she was a right character (and very intelligent but completely unrecognised; as per many of her generation).
    Did you get your love of gardening from your mother?

    we had marrow competitions with my brothers as kids and my mum grew lots of veg and a huge flower circle that would be used for the bonfire on Nov 5th it must of been the ash that made the flowers grow as that earth was cooked each year , I knew blood & bone was good for the garden as my mum used it all the time , I cut my finger one day and I dripped the blood in to the marrow pot thinking I would now beat the rest of the competition it died two days later :snork: yes so many memories and yes lucky to have her which I do realise when you hear of others.

    So yes is the answer.
