Watched Skyfall on the telly last evening which was as usual full of action and it was lovely to visit Scotland again albeit from my armchair:whistle::snork:

Sat down with a couple of bottles of Adnams Broadside and watched Forrest Gump on Film4 last night. Always makes me chuckle, if only because I've actually met and indeed worked with a few people like that in my time.

Don't know why, but I had an irresistible urge to open a box of chocolates too.

I watched it too. I don't think it was as good as Casino Royale though.
I was skeptical about Craig David doing a bond film, but he is pretty good. He has that look, a bit like Sean Connery did.
I also watched a film called 'The Worlds Fastest Indian', starring A.Hopkins.
          A. Hopkins isn't my favourite actor, but credit where credit is due......he is brilliant at what he does. It was a very easy going film to watch. A film for the whole family I would say. Very much light entertainment.

I reckon that I am the only person who doesn't like the modern Bond films :dunno: They seem to me to be a triumph of style over substance.

I used to hate it but we watched it a few months ago and I totally warmed to it.

          That is a class film.

I woke up at five so I watched The Men Who Stare At Goats which was great fun!

No, I agree with you @longk, the new films lack something that the old ones had.
In terms of the modern day films though, he does a better job than the other modern day Bonds.
I really didn't like the way he was made into a wreck on Skyfall. A kind of broken bond.
The premium bonds for me are still Connery and Moore. :dbgrtmb:

@NG what part in the film did Craig David play as I must have missed his part?

I don't mind the modern James Bond films but sometimes they pack so much action into it that I get a bit lost with what the plot is about because I am so busy watching cars sliding along the road on their sides and it always amazes me that with all those crowds of people that no one gets mown down apart from the baddies that is:snork:

Not Craig David @Kandy ........ Daniel Craig... he played the main character!!
I don't watch many films these days because I get too fidgety. I always feel like I should be doing something else

@NG,with all due respect if you look at your post after mine it was you that mention Craig David,as I know that me and Mr Kandy watched Daniel Craig as Bond so me thinks you might need to go to Specsavers, though as its Christmas I will let you off:biggrin::sofa:

I get mixed up with those two.
I wonder what the film would be like if he did play Bond. Skyfall the musical :dbgrtmb:
I must have had this remix in my mind, as it features a bond.

I think Matt Smith should have played 'Q'.

It looks like Craig may have wanted some involvement in Bond.....

Bill Nighy is a shoe in for Q, although Christopher Ecclestone could be fun.

Well, we did find something worth watching on the box on Christmas Day. It was called Marvellous and is the (mostly) true story of Neil Baldwin .......................

Catch it on BBC iPlayer if you can as it is a total gem of a film!
