Oh that is just so sad - most especially at this time of year  But, it is a stark reminder that any and all drivers should be on heightened alert for ice patches! (As I reminded Mr "M" when he set off for work this afternoon :nonofinger: )
Interestingly, yesterday, he witnessed snow (while at work), but there was no sign of it here :noidea:
Today was bright, but cold. Low temps forecast for overnight bordering - just - into minus.

Just an update......the skies have been clearing a bit and then clouding up again so I've been taking advantage of the occasional clear patch to look at some sparkling things called Stars, Deep Space Objects and even the Moon....even if the temperature is dropping and it's a little cool out there.

@ARMANDII you should have used the 'Transporter' to get to Shineyland :blue thumb:.

It has been the clearest night we've had for ages and we get very little light pollution here (apart from Stansted Airport due north of us and some very low level light just on the horizon from the town in the distance).

Pity I don't know what I'm looking at :noidea: but it was pretty. :)

The temperature remained below freezing all day yesterday despite the sunshine. Windscreens frozen even in the sunshine.

Currently 25.3F with a forecast high of 38F but it will be another sunny day.

We tend to keep our house very cosy and warm. Mrs Shiney really dislikes (an understatement) the cold so we always said that when we retired we would make sure we were always warm. :blue thumb:

So we keep the temperature between 70F and 73F (21C - 23C). This morning, although the outside temperature is still only 34.2F most of the house is approx. 71F - except the lounge. The end wall of the lounge is almost completely window and the sun is streaming in. The temperature has suddenly soared to 79F :hate-shocked: :) - amazing what the sun can do even on a freezing day! So I've opened the door to the rest of the place and it will even things out :dbgrtmb:
